Love One Global

As part of the Love One ministry of SFCC, with support from the First Chinese Baptist Church of Fresno (FCBC) and in partnership with the Thai Akha Ministry Foundation (TAMF), our team of volunteers serve the students at the Akha Youth Development Center (AYDC), located in Chiang Rai, Thailand. Our focus is on assisting students improve their conversational English skills. We provide teachers and support staff to conduct English Camps at the AYDC campus and nearby schools. In addition, our team facilitates and participates in fundraising activities to support both capital improvement projects and educational initiatives at AYDC. Our first English camp took place in July 2018 and our next camp is scheduled for July 2020.

“Each one should use whatever gift he has received to serve others, faithfully administering God’s grace in its various forms. If anyone speaks, he should do it as one speaking the very words of God. If anyone serves, he should do it with the strength God provides, so that in all things God may be praised through Jesus Christ. To him be the glory and the power for ever and ever. Amen.” 1 Peter 4:10-11 Peter makes it clear that we have received our gifts from God for two purposes— to serve others and to bring praise to God. Serving isn’t about us receiving attention or glory; it is for Him to receive glory. In all that we do, we serve others so that God may be seen. It is out of our love for Christ that we serve. So that others may see Him and desire to know who Jesus is. In doing so, we have the opportunity to bring others to Christ. Which is another reason WHY we do what we do…so that MORE may be added to the Kingdom of Christ Jesus. It brings us GREAT JOY to love on, pray over, and to SERVE those whom Jesus brings into our lives through the Love One ministry.
